Class Descriptions

No one should feel intimitated in joining any yoga class. For your ultimate enjoyment and safety, please consult with our reception or teachers for guidance in selecting the most suitable yoga classes for you. Please check with your physician and let your teacher know prior to class if you have any form of injury or serious illness, or if you are pregnant or recently had a baby.

Most of our classes are for all levels where the teacher provides options to either increase or decrease intensity.

Beginner Classes - Level 1

Flow Yoga Level - Level 1 + 2
Fusionmovement's signature class,  Flow yoga classes do not follow a set sequence of postures; each class is unique and different and will vary from class to class. In  this class yoga students will practice more challenging sun salutations and asanas (poses) including arm balances.

This class is held in a room temperature studio, allowing students to explore arm balances and more advanced poses with more ease and steadiness.
This class is recommended to those that have a regular yoga  practice.
Not recommended for a true beginner.

Beginners Yoga - Level 1
A true beginners class for those who have never done yoga. Learn basic seated, reclined and standing postures with focus on how to properly breathe while in the poses. THis class provides lots of hands on assist guidance and individual attention. A wonderful way to be introduced to the world of yoga.

Pilates - Level 1 + 2
For the newcomer to pilates, this class will demonstrate and explain the precise positioning required in pilates exercises. Pilates engages the body and the mind through a series of controlled movements that will lengthen and strengthen your muscles without adding bulk. These movements improve the mind-body connection, alignment and posture, mental alertness while helping to develop a strong core. In this class some props will be used including resistance bands, foam rollers and blocks.

Yin Yoga - Level 1 + 2
Yin Mudra yoga is a practice that brings you deeper within your energetic body. You will experience Yin yoga postures and mudra hand positions to unblock the energy meridians that run throughout the body. Support your health and healing through cultivating balance and harmony through deepening your ability to recognize the messages of the body; enhancing your sensitivity to the flow of subtle energy, and releasing the limiting beliefs that nurture challenging emotions and thoughts.

Yin Yoga - Level 1 + 2
This class is designed to serve the practitioner who wants to a gentler and more mindful practice. Perfect for those who are recovering from an injury, those who are pregnant and those who are seeking a softer practice. Yin Yoga is restorative, healing, calming and will increase flexibility and mobility. Calm your mind, body and soul.

Intermediate Classes - Level 2

Flow Yoga - Level 2
A perfect introduction to yoga or, a wonderful change in pace to your regular yoga class. Flow yoga incorporates sun salutations and a variety of common asanas (poses) at a slow and gentle pace. FLow yoga classes do not follow a set sequence of postures; each class is unique and different and will vary from class to class.

Barre Class - Level 2
A class that integrates elements of Pilates, dance, cardio & strength training. Great for toning the abs, legs, thighs and buttocks. A fun and challenging work out that will give you amazing results! Absolute no prior dance or ballet experience required. Each week Kate teaches a different theme (bellydance, jazz, ballet, hip-hop, zumba)

Flow Yoga - Level 2
Flow yoga is a vinyasa style yoga where we connect breath with movement. Movements are fluid allowing for good circulation in the body. Flow yoga is a more dynamic approach of yoga and helps in strenghtening,toning and sculpting the muscles in the body. This class ends with a nice relaxing shavasana. Class is for all levels and those who want to work harder are given the opportunity to do so.

HOT Flow Yoga - Level 2 + 3
The pace of flow in this yoga class increases. Yoga students will practice more challenging sun salutations and asanas (poses) including arm balances.

Yin/Yang Flow Yoga - Level 2
Yin/Yang yoga classes combine a powerful vinyasa flow sequence with yin yoga. The vinyasa cultivates yang energy by focusing on developing stamina and strength, whereas the yin sequence aims to stretch the deep and dense connective tissues in the body with long and passive holds. This practice is great for those who wish to combine the benefits of improving bodily strength and flexibility, while also rehabilitating joints and connective tissues.

Yoga Sculpt - Level 2
Yoga Sculpt & Stretch is a yoga class that incorporates hand held weights (1lbs, 2lbs &3lbs) and/or ankle weights. This class provides the best of both worlds; while increasing strength and muscle tone we also create more length and lean muscle mass. This class is for all levels and abilities.
